🔔 Troubleshooting: Missing Google Calendar Notifications

If you are not receiving emails about upcoming meetings, or if invitations aren't appearing in your inbox, it is likely that your notification settings are turned off in Google Calendar.

Follow this guide to ensure your email reminders and invitation alerts are active.

⚙️ How to Enable Notifications

  1. Navigate to Calendar: Go to calendar.google.com.
⚠️ Important: Ensure you are viewing the calendar for your school email address and not a personal Gmail account. Check the profile icon in the top right to confirm.
  2. Open Settings: Click the Settings gear icon (⚙️) in the top right corner and select Settings.
  3. Select Your Calendar: On the left sidebar, look for the section titled "Settings for my calendars". Find the calendar labeled with your Name and click on it.
  4. Set Event Reminders: Scroll down to the Event notifications section.
    • Ensure there is at least one notification listed here.
    • Recommendation: Set a notification for 10 minutes prior to the meeting.
  5. Enable Email Alerts: Scroll further down to the Other notifications (or "General notifications") section.
    • Ensure that the dropdowns for New events, Changed events, and Canceled events are all set to Email.
    • Note: You may leave "Daily Agenda" set to "None" unless you want an email every morning listing your schedule.

You should now receive email notifications for all Google Meet invites and updates.
